A brake pad is the braking hardware on a motor vehicle. It is designed to work with a car’s brake discs/rotors, to slow the car down.
Brake Pads are located inside a brake caliper. At the point when a driver pushes the brake pedal, the master cylinder compresses the fluid which in turn moves the pistons to ease the pads against the discs.
There are two brake pads for every caliper, therefore four brake pads on the front and four on the rear.
