Rear Shock Absorbers Replacement

How to replace rear shock absorbers?

The first thing you need to make sure is you know what you do and how to do it safely.

Step 1: Performing a thorough inspection to determine what parts need a replacement.

Step 2: Loosen the rear wheel bolts.

Step 3: Put the car into gear, chock the front wheels then jack-up the rear of the car and support it on axle stands.

Step 4: Remove the wheel

Step 5: Remove the shock absorber top mounting nut/bolt(s).

Step 6: Loosen and remove the mounting bolt(s) at the bottom of the shock absorber.

Step 7: Remove the shock absorber from the wheel arch.

Step 8: Fitting is a reverse of removal.

Step 9: Inspecting the rear suspension, power suspension, and suspension springs for any worn or damaged parts.

Step 10: Refitting the wheels, and test if the car or 4WD is operating correctly
